Possible Student Projects at the IIC

Dear Students,

the Institute for Integrated Circuits is offering student projects again. To improve the organization and make it more transparent for you, we are changing the application process. We are deleting all existing applications from our homepage and ask you to please apply again if you are interested in a bachelor thesis, project work or master thesis at our institute in this winter semester.

If you are interested in a student project please follow this application procedure:

  • Fill in the application form on our homepage: https://www.et5.tuhh.de/Casting/studentischeArbeiten/Register.html
  • List the exams from our institute, which you have completed, in the "Free Application Text" field and also mention the grades that you achieved. There you can also write a short text about yourself and what makes you a good candidate.
  • Send a current transcript of records from your studies at TUHH to the following e-mail address: application-ic@tuhh.de.

The applications will be reviewed monthly. Please be aware that the resources at our institute are still very limited. Therefore, we can only offer a certain number of topics. According to our experience there might be significantly more applications than topics. We are trying our best to provide as many topics as possible and to select the most suitable candidate for each topic. Once we have selected a student for each available topic, we will also inform all other students.

Please make sure to follow the procedure described above and refrain from any additional emails. We will only consider complete applications and only the material submitted following the procedure.

External projects: If you are in contact with an external institution you can still register on our homepage following the same procedure as explained above. In that case please also send the task description to application-ic@tuhh.de. However, please be aware that we can still only supervise external projects if we have the resources. Therefore, there is no guarantee that we are able to supervise your project if you apply.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by this change in the application process, but under the present circumstances we believe that this is improving the situation for everyone involved.

Thank you for your understanding.
